Treatment Methods for Cataracts
Treatment methods for cataracts mainly include medication and surgical treatment.
Medication treatment:
For early-stage cataracts, antioxidant agents, reduced glutathione eye drops, and lens protein protectants can be used to improve lens metabolism and slow down cataract progression.
For early-stage cataracts, vitamin C, vitamin B2, vitamin E, and other supplements can be taken.
Medications can also be used to slow down the progression of the disease.
In general, some patients with moderate cataracts may experience different effects after taking these medications.
However, for mature cataracts, medication treatment is ineffective.
Surgical treatment:
Surgical treatment may be necessary for patients whose visual function cannot meet their needs.
Common procedures include extracapsular cataract extraction, phacoemulsification cataract extraction, and femtosecond laser-assisted cataract removal.
After understanding how to treat cataracts, it is important to seek timely treatment.
Follow the guidance of your doctor and choose the appropriate treatment plan.
