The Difference Between Surgical Abortion and Medical Abortion
Surgical abortion and medical abortion are two different methods of terminating pregnancy, with medical abortion generally causing less harm.
Surgical abortion involves terminating pregnancy through surgical means, usually performed under anesthesia.
Risks during surgery may include bleeding, infection, and uterine perforation. Additionally, post-surgical complications such as pain, irregular menstruation, and infertility may occur.
On the other hand, medical abortion involves terminating pregnancy by taking medication orally, typically more suitable for early pregnancy.
Although medical abortion causes relatively less harm to the body, there are still risks of bleeding, infection, etc.
Medical abortion is suitable for uterine pregnancies of up to 49 days, for women under 40 years old, and should also be conducted under medical supervision.
In case of severe adverse reactions during the recovery period after surgical or medical abortion, prompt medical examination should be sought.
